WHO WE ARE

Urban & Regional Planning Design Services was established in 1995 by the late Sri. K. Joseph Alexander, a former Senior Town Planner with Kerala's Development Authorities. With a professional practice that began in 1969, he contributed to the planning and design of several landmark projects across Kerala.

The firm is presently led by Chief Architect Joseph Chandy, who joined the practice in 1997 and gained over a decade of direct professional training under its founder. This strong foundation of experience shapes the firm's approach to architecture and planning.

Today, Urban & Regional Planning Design Services provides integrated architectural and planning solu- tions, committed to functional design, contextual sensitivity, and long-term value.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe that architecture is about people, not just buildings. A space gains its true meaning only through the people who use it, which is why understanding user needs is at the heart of our design process. As designers, we recognize that we are not the end users; therefore, it is our responsibility to listen, learn, and respond thoughtfully.
